The windshield is an important part of a car which provides protection.
Windshields are specially designed to ensure the safety of passengers and drivers even if extreme impact causes them to chip, crack or shatter. The major drawback of a cracked windshield is that it doesn't provide safe driving anymore. A crack on windshield has been noted to either distort your vision or hinders your vision to have a clear view of the road. There are two layers of glass laminated together. If one layer of glass breaks, the laminate and the inside layer of glass hold the windshield together, keeping pieces of glass from injuring occupants of the car or falling on the road.
